Papé Kenworth

A veteran of oil field support services, Kelly Droop, is the new Regional Manager in Alaska for heavy equipment supplier Papé Kenworth.

With extensive leadership background in off-road trucking, field operations, and capital planning, Droop most recently served as COO for Colville, Inc., managing its six business lines in Alaska. Prior to that, Droop was an executive at Worley, overseeing oil field construction, fabrication, operations, and maintenance.

In her role at Papé Kenworth, Droop maintains the company’s high standard for excellence across its operations as it strives to help its customers meet their uptime and profitability goals.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kelly Droop to our Papé Kenworth team here in Alaska,” says General Manager Mitch Hatfield. “Her experience leading large teams and orchestrating complex business operations will be an asset to our team and we look forward to the positive progress that her guidance and insights will bring.”

Droop has served on industry-focused nonprofit boards and is a past president of the Alaska Support Industry Alliance.

Alaska Native regional, village, and urban corporations operate in every industry all around the state, often in regions that don’t attract attention from other corporations. Our cover story for December 2025 is an excellent example, as it covers the investment Aleut is making in its region, Unangam Tanangin, or the Aleutian Islands, which stretch 1,000 miles into the Bering Sea and Pacific Ocean. The Alaska Native special section also visits Kodiak and the handful of corporations benefiting that region, and looks back over fifty years of ANCSA corporation history and how the corporations have built, maintained, and strengthened communications and relationships with their shareholders.
