UAA and home appliance company LG Electronics have formed the Consortium for Advanced Heat Pump Research to drive market transformation through research on heat pump technology and electrification.
Through the assistance of Thermalize Juneau, local homeowners interested in clean energy are taking advantage of heat pumps. The program helps them leverage their buying power to obtain discounts and provides technical assistance to demystify the process of installing a new and unfamiliar technology.
“To be an Arctic specialist, one has to have experience with cold climate means, methods, and materials applications in the Arctic, as well as an understanding of the logistics challenges,” says Richard S. Armstrong, founder of RSA Engineering.
