Catholic Social Services Selects Kris Palmatier as Chief Financial Officer

The new Chief Financial Officer for Catholic Social Services (CSS) in Anchorage is Kris Palmatier, who brings a rich background in accounting and finance.
“Kris’s leadership, experience, and dedication to community engagement will be instrumental in guiding the organization’s financial strategies and contributing to our overall success,” says the charity’s CEO, Robin Dempsey.
Born in Palmer and a graduate of West Anchorage High School, Palmatier earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from Alaska Pacific University, followed by completing his MBA at Western Governors University. His career has spanned positions with the State of Alaska, Cornerstone General Contractors, Kimura and Associates Certified Public Accountants, and the Rasmuson Foundation, where he was director of finance from 2016 to 2022.
“I am thrilled to join CSS and contribute to its mission of supporting impactful community initiatives,” said Kris Palmatier. “I look forward to applying my skills and experience to help drive financial strategies that foster growth and sustainability for the organization and the communities we serve.”
Palmatier completed both the Leadership Anchorage program with the Alaska Humanities Forum and the Catalyst for Nonprofit Excellence with Foraker Group.
