Two members of the PND Engineers team are stepping up, one after a career in government service and the other with a fresh professional certification.

Sean Baski is a new hire at the firm after working for sixteen years at the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF). At PND, Baski further expands the private firm’s transportation portfolio.

Baski earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at UAA. He spent the last four years as the DOT&PF Central Region Highway Design Section Head, managing and supporting billions of dollars’ worth of projects throughout the region. From design squad leader to project manager and section head, Baski has been a well-respected and well-decorated employee at DOT&PF, earning a regional leadership award in 2022 and DOT&PF Central Region Employee of the Year in 2025.

The firm’s newest Senior Engineer is Jhon Landicho, who recently passed his Principles and Practice of Engineering exam to become a professionally licensed engineer. Landicho graduated from UAA in December 2020 and has worked at PND since January 2021.

Landicho specializes in structural engineering, with a focus on bridge design and marine infrastructure. Landicho performs bridge and dock inspections throughout Alaska, and his design experience ranges from bridges capable of supporting oil drill rigs to floating docks for small boat harbors.
