GCI announced the recipients of its 2019 philanthropy campaign – 12 nonprofit organizations that work to improve the lives of Alaskans across the state. Longtime arts supporters Ed and Cathy Rasmuson have established three long-term charitable endowments to support the performing arts in Anchorage.
“If nonprofits were treated as their own industry, they would be the second largest source of non-government employment behind oil and gas in Alaska,” according to a January 2018 report.
