A mechanical engineer at Coffman Engineers earned an important certification. Jesse Wight-Crask is now a Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA), recognizing his knowledge in overseeing and managing the commissioning of buildings.

Commissioning involves verifying a project’s systems, equipment, and facilities have been designed, installed, tested, and function according to the operational requirements and design intent. “Earning his CxA shows Jesse’s commitment to delivering buildings that perform as designed—efficiently, reliably, and sustainably. His commissioning capabilities directly help our clients understand how their systems are working together,” says Brent Little, the firm’s mechanical engineering principal.

Wight-Crask has seven years of engineering design experience, five of which include honing his skills in commissioning building systems and facilities. His experience also includes HVAC design, economic analysis, and construction administration. He also participates in nationally recognized courses from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the Associated Air Balance Council’s commissioning group, which oversees a CxA certification program.
