Upon the retirement of long-time Alaska Business Publishing Company senior account manager Janis Plume, the team gains a new member in the Sales Department. Chelsea Diggs applies her account management experience from personnel services firm Airswift to the world of print and multimedia advertising.
Diggs observes that she was the only person at her previous workplace who made a habit of reading Alaska Business regularly. Now she gets to join the company’s mission of highlighting the state’s businesses and helping to get their messages out.
“Connection is important to me,” Diggs says. “Relationship building.” From her previous work in the healthcare and oil and gas sectors, Diggs gained experience in project management, strategic planning, and data analysis. With a track record of leading strategic initiatives and optimizations, she is known for delivering measurable impact and fostering collaborative, long lasting relationships.
Rooted in a deep love for Alaska, Diggs is passionate about supporting local communities and contributing to initiatives that strengthen the state’s future. She has served as president of the Anchorage Petroleum Women’s Association, raised funds for women’s cancer treatment and the American Heart Association, and she volunteers at the Anchorage Pioneer Home and with her local parent-teacher association.
Diggs describes herself as a devoted mother who loves cooking, the outdoors, traveling, writing, listening to podcasts, and watching all things true crime while finding inspiration and balance in the people and places she cherishes most.
