State of the State
Governor Mike Dunleavy delivered his first State of the State address since being sworn into office on January 22. In his half-hour speech, the governor reiterated several campaign promises including a reduction in crime, protecting the Permanent Fund Dividend (and providing PFD back-pay to state residents), and instituting a balanced budget. This week we present Governor Dunleavy’s first State of the State address.
As we have annually since 1985, we are again celebrating the Top 49ers, local Alaska companies ranked by gross revenue. These home-grown companies participate in all of the state’s major industries, generate more than $28 billion in gross revenue, and employ more than 24,000 Alaskans.
