A year after Grant Aviation stepped in to provide daily flight service between Anchorage and Kenai, Aleutian Airways is adding its name to the roster of air companies serving the two communities.

Two Daily Roundtrip Flights

Aleutian Airways, which has for years provided nonstop, scheduled service to King Salmon, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Cold Bay, and Sand Point, will begin flights to Kenai on June 6. The company says its initial schedule will offer two daily roundtrip flights on Saab 2000 aircraft for the 35-minute flight. Flights depart from Anchorage at 6:35 a.m. and 6 p.m. and from Kenai at 7:40 a.m. and 7:05 p.m. daily.

“Our team is excited to welcome the city of Kenai to the Aleutian Airways network, connecting its community and visitors to the world via Anchorage through our partnerships with Alaska and Delta Air Lines,” says President and CEO Wayne Heller. “Our best-in-class fleet, built on a foundation of unwavering commitment to safety and customer service, will provide an unforgettable guest experience for those traveling to and from this popular Alaskan destination.”
