Great Alaskan Holidays—the largest RV rental, sales, and service business in the state—promoted Josh Miranda to Shop Foreman. In this new role, Miranda oversees daily operations of the company’s fleet service shop, ensuring the highest standards in motorhome maintenance and customer readiness.

Miranda has been with the Great Alaskan Holidays team since 2016, most recently as facilities manager. He’s credited with maintaining and improving the company’s facilities to ensure a seamless experience for customers and staff alike.

Miranda is a graduate of Bartlett High School in Anchorage and the UAA automotive diesel technology program. Before joining Great Alaskan Holidays, he worked as a seasonal shop foreman for Holland America Princess, managing operations at the passenger train yard in Healy. His roots and professional journey reflect his strong connection to Alaska and his dedication to supporting both the state’s workforce and its tourism industry.

“Josh has consistently demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a strong work ethic throughout his time with Great Alaskan Holidays,” says Bob Johnson, Great Alaskan Holidays director of marketing. “His promotion to Shop Foreman is a natural progression, and we are confident his skills and passion for the industry will continue to strengthen our team and enhance the customer experience.”

Alaska Native regional, village, and urban corporations operate in every industry all around the state, often in regions that don’t attract attention from other corporations. Our cover story for December 2025 is an excellent example, as it covers the investment Aleut is making in its region, Unangam Tanangin, or the Aleutian Islands, which stretch 1,000 miles into the Bering Sea and Pacific Ocean. The Alaska Native special section also visits Kodiak and the handful of corporations benefiting that region, and looks back over fifty years of ANCSA corporation history and how the corporations have built, maintained, and strengthened communications and relationships with their shareholders.
