Right Moves with Brenda Sims

Great Alaskan Holidays, Alaska’s largest RV rental, sales, and service business headquartered in Anchorage, is promoting Brenda Sims to Parts Manager within the company’s Parts and Service Department.

Sims has been with Great Alaskan Holidays for several years as a member of its vehicle maintenance technician team, directly responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and ensuring the safe operation of Great Alaskan Holidays’ entire fleet of rental motor homes.

Sims is a graduate (Cum Laude in her class) of the University of Alaska Anchorage with an associate degree in Automotive Technology. She is ASE Certified as a Parts Specialist, Electrical A6, Brakes A5, and is an RVTI (RV Technical Institute) Certified Level I Technician. As the new Parts Manager, Sims will be directly responsible for the inventory control of the company’s entire stock of RV parts and accessories.

As Great Alaskan Holidays places significant importance on employee reward and recognition, they also promote from within as much as possible, with Sims’ promotion being an example of that practice.

“Great Alaskan Holidays is very proud of Brenda, and very excited for her,” says Bob Johnson, the firm’s director of marketing. “We place a high degree of importance on recognizing exemplary performance among our employees and try to promote from within our current staff as much as possible. Brenda is aggressive, knowledgeable, and personable in her approach to daily tasks and her personal and professional growth, and it shows in the quality of work she performs. We’re very glad to be able to thank Brenda in such a way for her contributions.”
