New CIO and CNO for Alaska Communications

Alaska Communications promoted two members of its executive team to positions focused on operational systems and network strategy.

Eric Moeser is now Chief Information Officer, overseeing company-wide technology transformation to implement new business and operating systems. In addition to systems transformation, he leads customer service and technical support, IT operations, and application development.

Since rejoining Alaska Communications in 2023 as a vice president, Moeser has streamlined operations and introduced innovative technology to improve and modernize customer experience. His previous experience spans telecommunications, athletic apparel and footwear, and retail industries, where he held several operations leadership roles.

Tony Dodge

Tony Dodge is promoted to Chief Network Officer, accountable for long-term strategic execution and deployment of the company’s network designs and plans. He oversees modernization of existing programs to increase performance and productivity, maximizing the use of automation to drive continuous improvement. This includes a renewed push to grow the company’s fixed wireless and fiber networks, expanding access for more customers across its footprint.

Dodge has more than twenty years of telecommunications and engineering experience in Alaska. An alumnus of UAF with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he has shaped and helped execute broadband grants strategy, securing critical funding to bridge the digital divide in Alaska. He and his wife have four children and enjoy travel and performing arts.

Alaska Communications, the former Anchorage telephone utility, is an affiliate of Massachusetts-based ATN International and operates a robust and advanced statewide fiber network and a diverse undersea fiber optic system.
