A baker from Eagle River whose cookie brand already made a national impact is taking off for an intercontinental audience, thanks to an airline partnership. Molly Bz Cookies reached an exclusive agreement to provide treats for Northern Pacific Airways, doing business as Ravn Alaska.

Out of the Oven, Into the Flier

Molly Blakeley established her bakery in 2018, and three years later she expanded the brand nationwide. Her cookies are now featured in Target cafes, hotels, resorts, and boutique shops and stuffed in gift bags at the Oscars, Grammys, and International Emmys. She has even been on the prize wheel for Wheel of Fortune several times.

An alliance with an Alaska-based enterprise was a logical step. “Being a life-long Alaskan, I’m honored my cookie company Molly Bz has been selected for this amazing partnership,” Blakeley says.

The CEO recalls her first plane ride as a child was on one of Ravn Alaska’s predecessor airlines. “I remember being given a cookie and how it made me feel like home, even when I was nervous for my first flight. Now my cookies will be handed out to each passenger. Well, it doesn’t get much better than that,” Blakeley says.

For the airline partnership, Molly Bz is offering an exclusive special recipe, the Cinnadoodle.

“Snickerdoodles are our most popular flavor, and the co-branded packaging will provide a facelift to our complimentary cookie program,” says Ravn Alaska CEO Rob McKinney. “The Cinnadoodle will launch in the coming weeks with seasonal varieties throughout the year.”

While Ravn Alaska currently flies passengers and cargo throughout Southcentral and Southwest Alaska, its sister airline is getting ready for trans-Pacific flights in 2023.

“We look forward to expanding the program onto our Northern Pacific Airways fleet in the Spring,” McKinney says of the cookie agreement.

Blakeley, who is also known as an author and motivational speaker, is ready to be on the maiden flight of a new venture. “The partnership with Northern Pacific Airways and Ravn is sure to be one of the most exciting partnerships yet,” she says.
