Mat-Su Senior Services’ primary mission is to promote honor, dignity, security, and independence for older Alaskans and to assist them in maintaining meaningful lives.

Burchett earned a master’s degree in counseling from Webster University and has more than twelve years of counseling experience and nine years of supervision experience. This year, Burchett is completing an MBA degree with a concentration in healthcare administration from the University of Mount Olive in North Carolina. Burchett holds the credentials of Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Certified Clinical Supervisor, Approved Counseling Supervisor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Master Addiction Counselor.

Burchett moved from North Carolina to Wasilla in 2019, leaving the role of vice president of behavioral health services at a federally qualified health center.

Burchett considers herself a lifelong learner, and she enjoys learning, singing, acting, teaching, and continuous development in providing servant leadership. In her short residency in Alaska, she has explored Denali, Juneau, Seward, Kenai, Ketchikan, and Fairbanks and is excited to see more.

Alaska Native regional, village, and urban corporations operate in every industry all around the state, often in regions that don’t attract attention from other corporations.
