In her new role, Horvath oversees children’s and women’s services at the “hospital within a hospital” at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. Horvath earned a bachelor’s degree with a minor in business administration from Columbia College in South Carolina and a master’s degree in health administration from Tulane University in New Orleans. She is certified as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the board of its Alaska Chapter.

Before joining Providence, Horvath served as director of the medical staff office at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans and in various roles for the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and LSU Healthcare Network. Horvath has been with Providence Alaska since 2019 as manager of provider relations, contracts, and network development prior to becoming executive director of Alaska Health Alliance.

Carrie Peluso, chief nursing officer of Providence Alaska, says, “I’m excited about the breadth of experience Meg brings to the role to help our children’s hospital continue to grow while continuing to provide the best care possible to the women and children of Alaska.”
