UMIAQ Design Hires Utilities Division Manager

UMIAQ Design, a division of UIC Commercial Services, named Jacques Annandale as its new Utilities Division Manager.
Prior to joining UMIAQ Design, Annandale served as Capital Assets & Grants Program Manager at Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility, where he managed a six-year, $240 million capital improvement plan for 1,600 miles of pipe, 250 facilities, and five treatment plants. He also developed a grants program and secured approximately $80 million for projects that would not have been solved through traditional funding.
In his new role, Annandale applies his interest in infrastructure improvements beyond Anchorage to lead design and project delivery for UMIAQ clients’ infrastructure needs statewide.

Annandale moved to Anchorage nearly two decades ago after earning a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He’s a certified professional engineer and a performing jazz musician who plays alto and soprano saxophone and flute. “My approach to musical performance is very simple,” he says. “Know your part, bring a positive attitude, and always be ready to adjust for the unexpected. This is the same approach I take to engineering projects and in life.”

His experience managing complex utility programs and securing infrastructure funding will strengthen our ability to support clients and communities across the state.”
