Brittany Brown

The Native village corporation for Nome is bringing back a shareholder as Director of Marketing and Communications. Brittany Brown comes to Sitnasuak Native Corporation (SNC) with more than eleven years of experience in public and community relations to lead and grow their communications and marketing initiatives.

After graduating from UAA with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Brown earned a master’s degree in industrial distribution from Texas A&M University. She began her professional journey as a shareholder relations intern at SNC, and over the last decade Brown served in a variety of public relations and community development roles with oil and gas companies, Native village and regional corporations, and the state and federal governments.

“We are excited for Brittany’s return and her new role. With her leadership, experience, and passion to serve, she is well poised to build upon our mission to benefit shareholders, protect our land and its resources, and support our culture by maximizing the profitability of our corporation while upholding our Inupiaq values,” says SNC CEO Charles Fagerstrom.

Brown has served on both the Alaska Native Professionals Association and Kenai Peninsula Tourism Marketing Council Board of Directors, where she worked to increase regional economic growth and build local community involvement.
