Alaska Aerospace released the 2018 Annual Report, titled “Rockets and Roll’n,” commemorating twenty years of space launch from the Pacific Spaceport Complex – Alaska (PSCA) at Narrow Cape, Kodiak.

GCI announced the recipients of its 2019 philanthropy campaign – 12 nonprofit organizations that work to improve the lives of Alaskans across the state. Each of the 12 nonprofits will be highlighted by GCI during a monthly “spotlight” campaign that includes promotional signs and digital displays at GCI’s 30+ retail stores, features on GCI social media channels and promotion on iHeart radio stations.
Scientists are developing advanced imaging technology that will enable drones to collect information essential for managing Alaska’s depleted northern fur seal population.
As part of its effort to help cultivate Alaska’s next generation of leaders, GCI has committed $100,000 to the next round of its statewide scholarship program. . Fifty students will each receive a $2,000 scholarship for the 2019-20 academic year. Funds from the GCI Scholarship Program can be used for tuition and books.
