Not only is CE2 Engineers operating from a new location near Midtown Anchorage, but the firm is under new leadership. Mike Erdman is promoted to President and Principal Engineer, while his predecessor Brian Aklin remains on staff as a Senior Project Manager.

Erdman first came to Alaska in 1979 after graduating from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He worked for the US Forest Service in Ketchikan prior to relocating to Southcentral in 1982. He worked for several consulting engineering firms before starting Erdman & Associates Consulting Engineers in 1987.

A registered civil engineer in Alaska since 1984, Erdman is also registered in New Mexico, Arizona, and Tennessee. CE2 hired Erdman as a Senior Civil Engineer in 2010. Since then, he has managed engineering design and construction management of major infrastructure projects throughout rural Alaska, including water and wastewater, solid waste disposal, roads, and land development.

CE2 Engineers has provided professional engineering design and construction management services in Alaska since 1985, specializing in rural construction management, helping communities manage their projects locally and training and employing local residents.
