Panda Express Opens Fairbanks Franchise
The Panda Express location in northeast Fairbanks abuts Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge.

The Year of the Rabbit dawned in Fairbanks with a new dining option. Panda Express, the largest Asian cuisine chain restaurant in the United States, opened a new franchise location at 523 Harold Bentley Avenue, across from the Walmart store.
American Chinese Favorites
Panda Express already operates locations in Anchorage, Eagle River, and Wasilla. The chain offers a menu of orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and broccoli beef.
The family-owned franchise held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with members of the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce on January 27.
“Our entire Panda team is grateful to serve the Fairbanks community by providing new jobs and supporting local organizations through fundraising opportunities,” said KC Trance, Panda Express Area Coach of Operations. “We hope to be a lasting part of the community and welcome all guests into our doors to try our American Chinese favorites and discover their own.”
As part of its grand opening, the new Panda Express location donated 50 percent of pre-tax proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club of Fairbanks from guests who requested it.
