New Ownership and President for Sourdough Express and Transfer

Dec 22, 2021 | Right Moves, Transportation

Right Moves with Debbie Norum and Josh Norum

One of Alaska’s oldest transportation companies is making some internal changes for the new year. Effective January 1, 2022, Debbie Norum and Josh Norum will become the sole Co-Owners of Sourdough Express and Sourdough Transfer, with locations in Fairbanks, Anchorage, and Kenai.

Josh Norum will become the new President of both organizations. Currently serving as vice president, Josh will become the fifth generation of his family to serve as president of the organization, established in 1898. He has been with the company for fifteen years and has worked in many different positions throughout the organization. Earlier this year he was recognized by The Alaska Journal of Commerce and the Anchorage Daily News for the 2021 Top Forty Under 40, which highlighted his outstanding work with the company and his community during a historically challenging year.

The current president, Jeff Gregory, is shifting to a consulting position and retains ownership of the real estate segment of the organization. Debbie Norum will retain her position as Vice President of Finance and majority stakeholder. Karen Conover continues as a certified moving consultant at Sourdough Transfer.
