BBNC Acquires Panhandle Power Solutions

Apr 4, 2019 | Alaska Native, Energy, Monitor

Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC) announced its acquisition of Panhandle Power Solutions, LLC, a construction management and services company based in Destin, Florida, specializing in electrical services, airfield lighting and general construction.

Panhandle Power Solutions, LLC will join the SpecPro Environmental Services (SES) group of companies under BBNC’s construction business line. Its key capabilities include project procurement, estimating, management, administration and construction services.

“This company brings a wealth of experience and has deep roots in the Florida Panhandle area,” said SES president and CEO Basil Skelton. “Their skills, in particular their high to low energy self-performance electrical experience, complements the work that BBNC is already doing in this area, and we are excited to have them as a part of the SES Group of Companies.”

The acquisition was completed at the end of March.

Mapping Whittier’s Future
September 2026

What happens when a city with fewer than 300 residents becomes a major freight and tourism hub, despite being accessible only by boat, plane, or a one-lane highway/railroad tunnel managed on a strict schedule?

If you’re in the City of Whittier, you get busy. The city has two separate transportation planning efforts underway, including a safety action plan under the federal Safe Streets and Roads for All initiative, which focuses on improving safety for pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and emergency responders. The second is Whittier Moves, the city’s transportation master plan, which serves as the long-term roadmap for growth.
