The Anchorage Downtown Partnership and the Anchorage Community Land Trust announced “Love, Anchorage – A box of neighborhood goods,” a unique box of goods from Anchorage’s vibrant locally owned businesses, launching sales July 27. The two nonprofit organizations are invested in promoting, supporting, and revitalizing Anchorage’s most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods. The box is sponsored in part by the Alaska Small Business Development Center.

The “Love, Anchorage” box features an assortment of curated goods from favorite neighborhood businesses and represents businesses from the Mountain View, Fairview, Spenard, and Downtown neighborhoods. The boxes allow customers to support local, while boosting small businesses that need support during the pandemic. Each box is nonprofit—100 percent of the proceeds will go back to the participating small businesses.

“Love, Anchorage is an exciting collaboration to support local businesses, strengthen our community connection, and keep Anchorage Strong,” said Amanda Moser, Executive Director, Anchorage Downtown Partnership Ltd. “We are thrilled to collaborate on an initiative that will support Anchorage’s vibrant locally-owned businesses by buying and sharing boxes – furthering our mission to keep Anchorage Clean, Safe, and Vital.”

“Our neighborhood businesses have put everything on the line to keep our community safe,” says Kirk Rose, CEO of Anchorage Community Land Trust. “Now is our moment to give back and support them in return. This box highlights some of the incredible businesses in our target neighborhoods, and we can’t wait for customers to learn more about them through their orders.”

“Love, Anchorage” box sales open July 27, with pick-up dates scheduled for August 10 and 11. This round of sales features a limited quantity of 250 boxes, so customers are encouraged to order early. To view a list of participating businesses and place an order, customers can visit the Love, Anchorage website at https://www.love-anchorage.com.

The businesses represented in this box are: Birdwings Fine Chocolate, Dana Mae’s Cookies, Hulin Alaska Design, Lei’s Poke Shop, Sara’s Gift Cache, Side Street Espresso, Stephan Fine Arts, Sweet Creation Lollipop Boutique, Tasha the Artist, Tiny Gallery, The Kobuk, Uncle Leroy’s Coffee, and Writer’s Block Bookstore & Cafe.
