An appraisal company in Anchorage is dissolved now that its team joined a global real estate services and investment firm. CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services is solidifying its services in Alaska by hiring three appraisal professionals from North Pacific Advisors.

Experienced Team

Greg Wing becomes a senior vice president with CBRE Valuation & Advisory services. Wing has owned North Pacific Advisors in Anchorage since 2007. He previously founded the commercial appraisal firm Howard & Wing in 1997. Wing has more than thirty years of experience as a commercial real estate consultant.

Wing’s team at North Pacific Advisors is joining him at CBRE. Shane Smith and Mike Gibson both take on the role of senior appraisers.

Gibson worked with Howard & Wing for four years as an appraiser and general contractor before joining North Pacific Advisors in 2012. Smith, a certified general real estate appraiser, has worked with Wing since 2010.

Altogether, the team is credited with more than 2,000 commercial appraisals across Alaska for a variety of property types including multifamily, office, retail, industrial, special-purpose facilities, and raw land.

“Greg, Shane, and Mike have been the top appraisal team in Alaska for years and will be a great complement to our existing US appraisal team,” says Mitch Olsen, managing director for CBRE Valuation and Advisory Services in Seattle. “This expansion furthers our reach and enables us to more easily provide expert valuation services throughout the state of Alaska for our local and national clients.”

CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services is part of Dallas-based CBRE Group, the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm based on 2022 revenue. The company has more than 100,000 employees in more than 100 countries providing mortgage services, property management, and strategic consulting.
