Rasmuson Foundation Names Two Directors of Programs

Rasmuson Foundation named two new Directors of Programs, who both supervise program officers throughout the state’s largest philanthropic organization to ensure access to funding and strengthen support for Alaskans seeking grants.

Issa Spatrisano is promoted from her previous position as Program Officer. Spatrisano joined the foundation in 2025 to focus on strategic grantmaking. Prior to coming to the Foundation, Spatrisano served as Alaska’s State refugee coordinator, managing more than $20 million in federal grants. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in teaching and learning from UAA, with a focus on serving diverse adult learners.

Sara Clark comes to Rasmuson Foundation with executive leadership experience spanning both nonprofit and government sectors, where she built a strong foundation in grant writing, grantmaking, and program management. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in public health, both at UAA. Her academic career was driven by a profound dedication to Alaska and its communities.
