Trihydro Corporation Acquires Jacobson James & Associates

Trihydro

Trihydro Corporation has completed the acquisition of California-based consulting firm Jacobson James & Associates (JJ&A). Finalized on May 28, 2021, the acquisition diversifies and broadens Trihydro’s market presence and enhances the firm’s ability to better serve its West Coast and national client base with expanded resources and expertise.

The two companies have long-standing track records of delivering successful engineering and environmental consulting services. With similar solutions-focused cultures, both companies are committed to serving as trusted advisors when partnering with clients on projects. In addition to enhancing Trihydro’s core service areas of complex environmental clean-up, stormwater, hazardous materials management, and natural resource permitting, JJ&A strengthens Trihydro’s regulatory planning and strategy services and adds new areas of expertise to the team, such as forest resiliency planning, biomass management, and post-fire stabilization and restoration.

“Trihydro and JJ&A have partnered together on current and past projects, so we are familiar with JJ&A’s culture and its commitment to doing the right thing right,” stated Kurt Tuggle, Trihydro’s President and CEO. “Trihydro shares JJ&A’s values and we’re excited to be strengthening the environmental and engineering solutions we provide to our clients.”

With this acquisition, Trihydro’s network of offices grows to twenty-two nationwide, including the new office locations in Roseville and Arcata, California. The expanded business is now comprised of over 500 professionals dedicated to providing quality environmental and engineering services to clients and communities throughout the country.

According to JJ&A’s founders, Jan Jacobson, Terry James, and Jennifer Garner, “JJ&A’s success is the result of our employee- and client-centric culture built on our core values and commitment to long-term relationships, quality, and personal accountability. Trihydro’s like-minded culture is reflected from the organizational structure to the way employee and client relationships are formed and maintained. Joining Trihydro allows JJ&A to make a step-change in the opportunities and services we offer our staff and clients—while continuing to do the right thing right.”
