Holland America Line is planning a years-long improvement project for its inland amenities. The $70 million project will expand Denali Lodge and for its Cruisetours customers.

“It’s truly special that we can bring guests to a lodge at the doorstep of Denali National Park,” says Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line. “This investment is a win for Alaska, our guests, and Holland America Line. Enhancing and expanding the Holland America Denali Lodge will help meet the growing interest in combined land and sea Cruisetours for our 49th state and further support the Alaska tourism industry.”

More Guest Rooms, New Restaurant

The expansion will take roughly three years to complete. This year, travelers to Denali Lodge can expect to see enhancements to the riverside interpretive trail with scenic viewpoints, improved on-site wayfinding, refined menu offerings for restaurants, and public space improvements for Cottonwood and Canyon Lodge guest room buildings.

Next year, the company will remodel forty-eight rooms at the lodge, along with the addition of a new coffee shop and a remodeled Karsten Public House, a restaurant near the lodge. In 2027 the project will continue with a new guest room building that adds 120 suites and standard rooms and a renovation at the main lodge that will include a new restaurant concept, a new lobby bar, and an enhanced coffee experience.
