Ahtna Global Makes Hires in Construction and Environmental Divisions

Ahtna, the Glennallen-based Alaska Native regional corporation for the Copper River valley, hired several people for its construction subsidiary, Ahtna Global.

Brandon Carlson is now a Senior Construction Manager in the Anchorage office, responsible for addressing constructability conflicts, managing project schedules, daily and weekly project reporting, and monthly cost and revenue forecasting. Carlson has twenty-three years of construction experience. In his off time, he enjoys fishing, camping, hockey trips with his kids, and staying at their family cabin.

Curtis Huffman comes aboard as a Senior Construction Manager in the Palmer office. Huffman has twelve years of experience in heavy civil construction and design. He enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, and taking care of his backyard chickens, beehives, and garden.

Ryan Jones joins the firm as a Senior Site Superintendent in the Anchorage office, responsible for all activities at the construction site while working with the quality control manager and field staff to ensure project quality, safety, and time management. Jones brings fifteen years of experience in Alaska construction, including door installation, carpentry, and welding.

Jack Divelbiss comes aboard as an Engineer 1, assisting in design, development, implementation, and analysis of project programs. Divelbiss recently earned a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from Washington State University. He says he is “glad to be working for Ahtna, which provides the opportunity [for him] to gain experience in Alaska’s construction industry and learn from experienced individuals who have been in the industry for many years.”
