Bowhead Transport, part of Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation’s UIC Commercial Services division, named two new members of its top leadership team.

Clark Hill is promoted to Director of Marine Services. Hill previously served as Bowhead Transport’s General Manager. The new position expands his responsibilities to cover Alaska and Pacific-wide business development to facilitate Bowhead Transport’s growth. Hill’s maritime experience was formed on the Mississippi River, the Puget Sound, and in Alaska. Over his career, Hill has worked in a variety of capacities, starting out as a deckhand and eventually moving into a Port Captain role.

Luther Bartholomew

To find a new General Manager, the company hired an industry veteran with forty-five years of experience in the maritime industry. Luther Bartholomew returns to the UIC family of companies from Vitus Energy, where he was General Manager of Marine Operations. Prior to that he served as General Manager of UIC Marine Services for three years. He spent more than two decades with Crowley companies, including Crowley Valdez as part of the Alyeska Pipeline ship escort and response vessel contract, Crowley Maritime Corporate Division, and Crowley Petroleum Services.
