Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC) promoted professionals at its corporate office.

Ethan Schutt

Executive Vice President Ethan Schutt, previously General Counsel as well, is promoted to Chief Legal Officer, overseeing BBNC’s legal operations. He also serves as a key strategic advisor, shaping legal and business strategies that drive growth and innovation. Originally from Tok, Schutt earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Washington State University and a JD from Stanford Law School. He is also a member of the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation board of trustees.

Andria Agli

BBNC also added several new members to its executive team. Andria Agli, a BBNC shareholder, serves as Senior Vice President, Shareholder and Corporate Relations. In this role, Agli oversees shareholder services and records as well as shareholder events. Agli holds a master’s degree in rural development from UAF and has worked at BBNC for more than thirty years.

Daniel Cheyette

Daniel Cheyette serves as Senior Vice President, Land and External Affairs. Cheyette has been with BBNC for nearly eight years, previously serving as a special assistant US Attorney in the US Department of Justice, assisting with the prosecution of natural resources crimes, and as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alaska, prosecuting environmental crimes.

Carol Wren

Carol Wren, previously a Shareholder Development Manager, is now Senior Vice President, Shareholder Development. Prior to joining BBNC in 2017, Wren worked for ten years at Cook Inlet Tribal Council. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Pacific Lutheran University in Parkland, Washington, and a master’s degree in vocational education from UAA.

Renee Wardlaw

Renee Wardlaw has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. In this new position, she will oversee and coordinate multiple administrative functions across the corporation, providing leadership to ensure consistency, alignment, and efficiency in operations, while supporting strategic initiatives and corporate priorities. Wardlaw earned an MBA and JD from American University.

Mike Mansfield

Beyond the executive team, BBNC made two additional leadership promotions. Mike Mansfield has been promoted to Senior Director of Information Technology. In this role, he leads BBNC’s corporate IT department, overseeing operations, security, network administration, and support for corporate staff and seasonal tourism employees. Mansfield manages cross-functional projects, develops and enforces IT policies, and ensures BBNC’s IT systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with the corporation’s strategic goals.

Emily Thompson

Emily Thompson has been promoted to Senior Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, Thompson provides hands-on support to the CEOs and senior leadership of Bristol Bay Adventures Tourism, Alaska Growth Capital, and Alaska Investment Management. Thompson has established herself as a trusted advisor within these business groups.
