Apr 5, 2019 | Architecture, News, Professional Services, Right Moves

ANCHORAGE—McCool Carlson Green Architecture I Design (MCG) announced its newest Principal: Cara Rude (ASID, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP). Rude’s promotion came from her unparalleled design abilities, her dedication to perfection, her hard work, and her influential leadership skills. Though not intended to fall on March 8, she was informed about her promotion on International Women’s day as she is the first female principal shareholder in the company’s 40+ years.

Cara was born and raised in Alaska and educated at The Art Institute of Portland where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. She is an active member in her local state chapter of ASID; a member and ambassador presenter for the International Living Future Institute; Alaska’s first designers to be WELL certified; the current Sustainability Chair of the new NEWH NW Chapter; and US Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C). Cara exemplifies MCG’s philosophy with her leadership on award winning projects such as the Anchorage Museum Expansion and the newly constructed Alaska Airlines Hangar.
