AEA, FreeWire Technologies Unveil Alaska’s First Ultrafast Electric Vehicle Charging Station
The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) and FreeWire Technologies hosted a special ribbon-cutting ceremony in Homer to commemorate the commissioning of the first of nine EV fast-charging stations to be installed on a statewide network and the very first ultrafast EV charger in Alaska. AEA’s goal is to implement a fully operational fast-charging corridor by Summer 2022.
Ravn Spin-Off Buys 757s For Asia Routes
The new venture for out-of-state air travel by Ravn Alaska’s sister brand is beginning to take off. Northern Pacific Airways has purchased its first Boeing 757, plus another five in various stages of acquisition, with the goal of connecting Anchorage to the Lower 48 and Asia sometime next year.
