Providence Alaska Brings Primary Care to South Anchorage

Feb 26, 2020 | Monitor

Providence Health & Services Alaska has opened a new primary care clinic in Anchorage, Providence Medical Group Primary Care Huffman. The new clinic is located at 1389 Huffman Park Drive, Suite 202.

The opening of this clinic is part of Providence’s effort to bring care to more people, closer to where people work and live, with extended hours and same-day appointments.

PMG Primary Care Huffman will also provide patients with a model of care that’s focused on highly coordinated care and long‐term, participative relationships, the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

“The PCMH model focuses on coordinated care from a team of clinicians who are all engaged in a person’s care,” said Thomas Yetman, M.D., chief executive of Providence Medical Group Alaska. “We recognized the long-term benefits this provides to patients with the hope we will build ongoing relationships that result in better long-term health outcomes.”

In addition to the new Huffman Park location, PMG Primary Care is also available on the main campus of Providence Alaska Medical Center.
