Matson promoted Jennifer Tungul to Director of Alaska Terminal Operations, a new, senior-leadership position created to support the success and growth of Matson’s operations in Alaska.

Tungul has worked in Alaska’s transportation and logistics industry for two decades, with a seventeen-year tenure between the former Horizon Lines and Matson. Most recently, Tungul served as general manager of Matson’s Dutch Harbor and Akutan operations, responsible for terminal, marine, garage, warehouse, and equipment operations.

In her new position, Tungul is responsible for effective and efficient terminal operations in Anchorage, Kodiak, Dutch Harbor, and Akutan, as well as managing and developing team members, managing labor relations, and overseeing process-improvement projects.

“Jenn’s decades of experience in Alaska’s transportation industry and deep knowledge of the communities we serve are valuable assets to this company, and we’re thrilled to see her continue growing with us,” says Bal Dreyfus, Senior Vice President, Alaska.
