Jan 3, 2020 | Engineering, Right Moves

PND Engineers is pleased to announce the following new hires.

Kristoff Nystrom, EIT, relocated from Fairbanks to Anchorage this past fall after two and a half years with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Division of Design and Construction, performing project management and design. Kristoff hails from Washington state and is a 2016 graduate of UAF with a focus on civil and structural engineering. After graduating, he volunteered with Engineering Ministries International, where worked on the design of a hospital in—and traveled to—the Dominican Republic with a team of architects and engineers. Initially, Kristoff will assist with site planning and road design. When not at work, Kristoff enjoys hiking, alpine ski touring, and hunting.

Conrad Smith, EIT, recently returned to Alaska, where he was raised, with his wife, Claire, and three children—Arthur, Jane, and Adelaide. Conrad graduated with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Brigham Young University and worked most recently for Albert A. Webb Associates in Riverside, California, on site drainage, master plans, and storm water modeling projects. His long-term interest is in structures, and he is currently working in the Palmer office assisting with structural design. In addition to being a dad, Conrad enjoys hiking, and visiting zoos and museums.
