Becky Hultberg set to depart; search for replacement underway

ANCHORAGE—Members of the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association executive committee announced that Becky Hultberg has been named as the next CEO of the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems. As such, she will leave Alaska and the organization in December. The committee will immediately begin a comprehensive search for Hultberg’s replacement.

“Becky’s tireless service to Alaska’s hospitals, their patients, and communities has been exemplary,” said ASHNHA board chair Chuck Bill. “During her tenure, the organization strengthened its work in the areas of patient safety and behavioral health, improved its financial position, expanded services to members, and served as a strong voice for health care access and quality in Alaska. We will miss her leadership, but are confident the dedicated ASHNHA team will continue its great work as we search for a new CEO.”

“I cherish this state, this work, and the friendships I have developed over the last five and a half years with the association,” said Hultberg. “While I have known of this opportunity for some time, it is still exceptionally difficult to leave Alaska. It has been an honor to support the great work that Alaska’s hospitals and nursing homes do every day in caring for their patients and communities. I am confident that ASHNHA’s talented team and committed board are positioned for continued success in the years ahead.”
