The Denali Commission, the panel established to coordinate federal development activities in rural Alaska, named Joshua Wilson as Manager of the Village Infrastructure Protection program. In this role, Wilson leads efforts to protect rural Alaska communities and critical infrastructure from environmental threats.

Wilson joined the Denali Commission in July. He previously served as a program officer at Rasmuson Foundation, supporting sustainable growth throughout Alaska.

A born-and-raised Alaskan, Wilson earned bachelor degrees in political science and history and philosophy at Boston University. He holds an MBA from Alaska Pacific University and completed a PhD in leadership from University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky. He brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, project management, and statewide advocacy.

Outside of work, Wilson enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, hiking, fishing, and playing soccer.
