MTA has named Rebecca “Becky” Rudd as its new Chief Financial Officer. Rudd comes to the Palmer-based telecom utility after holding the same position for Providence Medical Group Alaska, where she led financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational improvement efforts across the organization.
As CFO, Rudd oversees MTA’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. To support a smooth transition, Rudd is working alongside retiring CFO Laurie Browning.
“What stood out to me about Becky is her ability to pair strong financial discipline with a practical, steady leadership style,” says MTA CEO Demian Voiles. “She builds trust, navigates challenges well, and stays focused on what matters most. We’re excited to welcome her to MTA.”
Rudd brings more than eighteen years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing, and leadership. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in professional accountancy from Montana State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Earlier in her career, Rudd spent more than a decade in public accounting and auditing, including leadership roles at KPMG across Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
“I’m excited to join MTA and be part of an organization that is so important to the communities it serves,” said Rudd. “I look forward to getting to know the team, supporting MTA’s mission, and working together to position the company for continued success.”
Rudd and her family operate a farm and greenhouse in the Mat-Su, giving her a firsthand appreciation for the communities MTA serves.
