Great Alaskan Holidays Hires Brenda Sims to Vehicle Maintenance Technician Team

Great Alaskan Holidays added a new, full-time, key personnel to their already growing team of dedicated professionals.

Brenda Sims has been hired as a full-time member of the Great Alaskan Holidays vehicle maintenance technician team. Already with several years of relative technical experience, Sims now joins a long list of highly skilled technicians who are directly responsible for a major portion of the company’s overall customer satisfaction levels: inspecting, maintaining, and ensuring the safe operation of Great Alaskan Holidays’ entire fleet of rental motor homes.

Sims recently graduated cum laude from the University of Alaska Anchorage with an associate degree of applied science in automotive technology. Sims is also ASE certified as a parts specialist, has passed her exams for ASE certification on electrical and brakes, and is currently underway with her RVDA (Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association) certification as a registered technician.

“Great Alaskan Holidays is very excited to welcome such a highly skilled vehicle technician as Brenda to our team”, says Bob Johnson, the firm’s director of marketing. “She is obviously quite aggressive in her approach to personal and professional growth, and it shows in the quality of work she performs. Our technical and vehicle maintenance staff are such a critical component in our ability to provide the level of service our customers deserve. Talents such Brenda’s ensure our touring customers are driving in a well maintained and safe vehicle during their travels throughout Alaska. It is people like Brenda who are the silent contributors when a customer has an opportunity to draw an impression based on their direct experience with our state, and our company.”
