Director of Operations Joins Bowhead Transport

Bowhead Transport, part of Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation’s UIC Commercial Services division, hired Todd Santangelo as its new Director of Operations.
Santangelo comes to Bowhead Transport after ten years at Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, most recently as the procurement and supply chain manager. In his new role, Santangelo manages all operational aspects of Bowhead Transport, including program execution, growth, and risk management.
“This is an exciting time for Bowhead,” Santangelo says. “I’m glad to bring my skillsets and enthusiasm to team.”
Santangelo earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UAA with a focus on supply chain management and logistics. At Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, he managed project logistics, with a primary focus on remote construction.

Bowhead Transport’s statewide services include line-haul cargo, inland river barging, remote project mobilization, ocean lightering, fiber optic cable installation and repair, and geo survey work.
