New CEO at Koniag Energy & Water

A subsidiary of the Alaska Native regional corporation for Kodiak Island has a new CEO. Phil Vollands is now in charge at Koniag Energy & Water (KEW).
As CEO, Vollands will focus on developing new market opportunities and fostering relationships with key stakeholders to establish KEW as a leading provider of comprehensive and innovative solutions.
KEW provides operational support in the oil and gas and water and wastewater industries, including design, engineering, automation, fabrication, and installation. KEW is based in Alaska with a presence in Texas, New Mexico, North Dakota, Georgia, and Ohio. It includes second-tier subsidiaries Dowland-Bach, Glacier Services, Inc., Big G Electric & Engineering, Great Northern Engineering, and TecPro.

Prior to joining KEW, Vollands held executive positions in prominent energy companies, gaining expertise in operational success, project development, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Vollands earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oxford University and a Master of Management from the University of Michigan.

Vollands succeeds Koniag Energy & Water CEO Art Garrod, who is retiring after leading the company since 2018.
