Amy Rodman

Amy Rodman recently joined R&M Consultants as an Environmental Geologist in the firm’s Earth Sciences Department, resulting in the opening of a new office in Juneau. In that role, Rodman supports contaminated site and geotechnical investigation work.

Rodman has a bachelor’s degree in geology from UAF. As a lifelong Alaskan, she draws from her outdoors experience as well as her education. In her sixteen years of experience, she has conducted fieldwork from the North Slope to Southeast Alaska and managed contaminated sites located throughout Alaska as a regulator for the state Department of Environmental Conservation.

“I joined R&M because I wanted to serve Alaskans with my geology and environmental skills,” Rodman says. “I wanted to serve with an Alaskan company that is equally committed to their employees as they are to our communities.”

The new Juneau office allows R&M to better serve Southeast Alaska clients and provides new opportunities for growth.

“Southeast Alaska has always been an important piece of R&M,” says R&M CEO Len Story. “We have been providing professional services there since 1969, and it is gratifying to re-establish ourselves in Juneau.”

The Juneau office on Mendenhall Mall Road complements R&M’s other locations in Anchorage and Fairbanks. The firm plans to add staff to the Juneau site.

“R&M’s presence in Juneau will provide Southeast Alaska communities with services typically accessible to urban areas,” Rodman says. “I look forward to growing the Juneau office with professionals who have experience in Southeast Alaska. I’m thrilled for the professional development and geotechnical opportunities while working with Southeast residents.”
