Bettisworth North Designer Certified for Healthcare Interiors

Tiffany Coffman, a senior interior designer with Bettisworth North Architects and Planners, received the Certified Healthcare Interior Designer (CHID) designation after passing a rigorous examination administered by the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID).

Securing this credential signifies that Coffman meets standards for education, experience, and training. The CHID examination requires participants to demonstrate a variety of core competencies affecting the acute care, ambulatory care, and residential healthcare interior environments. CHID distinguishes healthcare interior designers from other architects, designers, and decorators.

Coffman holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Colorado State University and has worked in interior design for ten years. Her portfolio includes the Child Development Center for Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium; the Native Village of Unalakleet’s Ikayuqti, an elders assisted living facility; Norton Sound Health Corporation’s Wellness and Training Center; and many other healthcare facilities across Alaska.

The CHID certificate is the highest designation for a healthcare interior design professional and is sought by many healthcare organizations when choosing an interior designer. AAHID is the professional body that identifies those designers uniquely qualified to meet the challenges of the healthcare interior design industry.
