Right Moves with Ralphenia Dybdahl

The Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska (Tlingit & Haida) has a new manager in the president’s office. Ralphenia Dybdahl is the Office of the President Manager, returning to the tribal government after working as executive assistant at Sealaska Heritage.

Dybdahl began working for Tlingit & Haida since 2006 as administrative clerk in the finance department, then later as accounting technician and administrative assistant in public safety.

In her new role, Dybdahl provides direct and indirect administrative support to the president. She will be responsible for ensuring all governmental functions are carried out in an orderly manner as well as serving as liaison to the Delegates and Executive Council.

Tlingit & Haida President Richard Chalyee Éesh Peterson says, “Dybdahl’s years of administrative work and knowledge of the Tribe will make her a great addition to the Office of the President.” He adds, “With her background and experience she is well suited for this position, and I look forward to working with her to better serve our tribal citizens.”

Dybdahl is Wooshkeetaan from Hoonah. She holds a bachelor of liberal arts degree from University of Alaska Southeast. “Gunalchéesh, Háw’aa,” she says, “for the opportunity to be back at the Tribe and working closely with the Office of the President staff and President Peterson.”
