The Alaska Travel Industry Association, Alaska’s leading statewide membership association for the travel industry, promotes Alaska’s tourism industry as an economic pillar while providing statewide marketing resources, education opportunities, and advocacy to members. Membership consists of businesses directly related to and in support of the tourism industry. 77% of ATIA’s membership roster represents small businesses with less than 20 employees. ATIA has long managed Alaska’s destination marketing program: Travel Alaska.

ATIA serves as a convener for Alaska’s tourism industry, providing a unified voice for growth and advocacy.

Membership has access to educational webinars for tourism businesses, a health care plan, networking opportunities, the annual ATIA Convention – the largest gathering of industry professionals in Alaska, the Adventure Green Alaska sustainable tourism certification program, and marketing discounts. ATIA members are also eligible to run for the 24-member ATIA board of directors where they can help steer key tourism decisions in the state.

Statewide Marketing Program

ATIA is the long-time steward of the state’s destination marketing program to attract visitors and grow Alaska’s economy through tourism.

ATIA has the experience and connections to draw the attention of potential visitors from around the world. ATIA conducts award-winning advertising and public relations campaigns, promotes TravelAlaska.com, Alaska’s official trip planning website, and works with travel professionals and consumers to promote Alaska as a top year-round vacation destination.

ATIA Annual Convention
Each year, hundreds of Alaska tourism industry professionals gather for the ATIA Convention & Trade Show.
This keystone event is an educational and networking summit which galvanizes and elevates the tourism community. Attendees learn new marketing trends and best practices, business management tips, hear from expert speakers on a variety of industry-related topics, and have the chance to celebrate with one another over several days.
