A veteran of the US Marine Corps is the new CEO of LifeMed Alaska. The air and ground ambulance service selected Grace K. Greene to lead the company, effective November 2. As CEO, Greene oversees 135 staff at regional air bases in Anchorage, Bethel, Dutch Harbor, Fairbanks, Juneau, Kodiak, Palmer, and Soldotna.

Greene was the president of TOTE Maritime Alaska until last year, when she moved to Oak Brook, Illinois to take a job as senior vice president of Hub Group Trucking.

Greene attended the US Naval Academy and was commissioned into the Marine Corps, working in logistics and aviation safety. Greene’s experience deploying units to remote desert locations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom were quite similar to managing remote Arctic logistics.

“Grace is a known and trusted leader across Alaska. We are grateful she is returning to the state to lead LifeMed, a critical part of our statewide health system,” says Ella Goss, CEO of Providence Health & Services Alaska and president of the LifeMed Alaska board of directors.
