Conversation on Alaska Politics with Bill Walker, Moderated by John Tracy

Former Governor Bill Walker will be interviewed by long-time Alaska journalist John Tracy in Anchorage on Thursday, October 17, 7:00 p.m., at the Anchorage Museum, 625 C Street. Governor Walker served as the 13th Governor of Alaska, from 2014 to 2018.

John Tracy was the KTTU-TV (Channel 2) news director and anchor and directed the most watched newscast in Anchorage for over twenty years.

Governor Walker has accepted an invitation by the Cook Inlet Historical Society to be the leadoff featured speaker for its 2019-20 speaker series, “Breaking the Ice: Envisioning the Future in the North.” This series will offer an historical perspective on a range of topics. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at Anchorage Museum Auditorium, 625 C Street (enter through W. 7th Avenue side entrance). After the sit-down interview, there will be questions and answers. Public parking, for a nominal fee, is available in the Museum’s heated and secured underground garage. This event is free and open to the public.

The speaker series and programs of the Society are supported by donations and memberships to the Cook Inlet Historical Society, a non-profit 501(c)(3) support organization of the Anchorage Museum.
