3-Year Outlook Luncheon

The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) will host is annual 3-Year Outlook Luncheon on August 5, 2020.

Given the circumstances and with the thoughts of the health and safety of all of our event stakeholders, AEDC has made the decision to pivot our event to be fully virtual. While we will miss seeing all of your faces in person, we are very excited to host you online, as our virtual platform provides new opportunities for our sponsors, members, and audience.

The 3-Year Outlook Luncheon will discuss the projected trajectory of the local economy based on a review of historical and current data, interviews with representatives of businesses and organizations, and analysis of current events. The outlook considers trends in eight key indicators including population, employment, personal income, air passenger and freight volumes, building permits, Port of Alaska tonnage, visitor industry activity, and oil prices.

This year’s keynote speaker is Tim Moore, CEO of Diamond View Studios and an expert on blending social impact business models with community and workforce development.

Moore’s presentation will focus on how to strategically market your purpose as an organization, and create meaningful, long-term relationships with consumers through shared values and unique brand purpose. He is a leading expert in purpose-driven marketing and has developed emotionally compelling campaigns for brands all around the world. He is an outspoken advocate of transformative advertising, which uses advertising as a force for good, allowing brands to make a real difference in the world. Moore is also the author of ‘Sold on Purpose’ a comprehensive guide to meaningful marketing for the conscious consumer.
