Join Anchorage tourism industry peers and hear the latest tourism and economic trends from key community and visitor industry leaders at the July Visit Anchorage Membership Luncheon. The July luncheon will feature Lieutenant Colonel Tabatha Zellhart, who serves as deputy commander of the 673rd Mission Support Group at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Zellhart leads nearly 2,000 personnel, manages a $12 million budget, and oversees a $1 billion portfolio delivering critical support across the Alaska North American Aerospace Defense Command region. Her responsibilities span base defense, communications, logistics, and quality-of-life services of more than 37,000 members. Zellhart will speak about the upcoming Arctic Thunder Open House, scheduled for August 8 and 9. This free-to-the-public event features the US Navy Demonstration Team, the Blue Angels, and the US Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights.

In the spirit of military service, Arctic Thunder Open House is an event hosted by Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson to give back to the local community. In past years, the event has attracted more than 250,000 people and includes static displays of US and international equipment and airplanes spanning thirty acres.
