Alaska Response to Intervention/Multi-Tiered System of Supports Conference

January 23 - 24$400 - $1375
EVENT Alaska RTI_MTSS Conference
Alaska Staff Development Network

The 2027 Alaska Response to Intervention/Multi-Tiered System of Supports (RTI/MTSS) Conference brings Alaska’s educators together to strengthen how staff can support every student, from districtwide policy to daily classroom practice.

When MTSS works well, educators identify concerns earlier, link students to the right resources, and implement interventions consistently across buildings.

The 2027 conference, themed “MTSS: The Heart of Student Support,” is a chance to step back mid-year, take stock of what’s working, and refine the practices that need it most. Join fellow educators for two days of practical strategies, conversation, and renewed purpose in support of every student.

With keynotes from Dr. Gholdy Muhammad on making instruction more engaging, place-centered, and joyful, from Dr. Amanda VanDerHeyden on the science of instruction, and from Dr. Anita Archer on explicit instruction and reading, attendees will explore what it takes to support every student academically, behaviorally, and culturally.

The conference coincides with the Alaska Principals Conference, which begins Friday, January 22, 2027. MTSS has also scheduled pre-conference sessions for Friday, January 22, 2027, priced separately, and a follow-up virtual conference Saturday, January 30, 2027. More information is available on the conference website.
